IPL 4 – Top Players

Kolkata Knight Riders are presently at the top of the score table in the IPL T20 season 4. They won 3 out of 4 matches played so far. The captain of KKR Gautam Gambhir believes that the professional approach of his team helped them to put up an impressive performance in the matches. The captain reiterated their commitment to play professional cricket so as to give the best and never to be over confident. The bowling of Gautam Gambhir helped the team to a great extent. However, he applauded the bowling attack by Lakshmipathy Balaji, Brett Lee and Shakib Al Hasan. The captain of KKR is hopeful of bringing out still better performance by his team in the forthcoming matches.

The Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was very jubilant at the victory of Kolkata Knight Riders, which is owned by him. The veteran actor said that there is unity in his team of young players and also they are not affected by ghosts of the past that is the reason the are in the top of IPL 4 points table this time in IPL 2011.

The coach of Delhi Daredevils Greg Shipperd of Australia was glad to see his team winning the match against Pune Warriors. Delhi Daredevils won only one match out of the 3 matches played so far and Shipperd said that each and every game is critical for the team. While appreciating the confident approach of his team during the last match Shipperd stressed that the team must improve a lot in fielding. The coach expects major contributions from Varun Aaron and James Hopes in the coming matches and also he is hopeful of a comeback by Morne Morkel.

Shane Warne, skipper of Rajasthan Royals has attributed poor performance by his team as the reason for their defeat in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. He went to the extent of saying that his team members played as kids against men. According to Shane Warne, the absence of Rahul Dravid following an injury and the not so good pitch at Kolkata’s Eden Garden also contributed to his team’s defeat in the last match played by them.

Though Royal Challengers Bangalore lost in 3 out of the 4 matches played so far, a member of the team A B de Villiers of South Africa has remarked that fundamentally nothing is wrong with the team and hoped that with overall improvement by the players especially in fielding they can do much better in the coming matches.
